Anton Babkov, one of the founders of Rex Software, has stepped aside as chief executive officer and will move into a board role for the real estate software provider.
Mr Babkov has passed the leadership role to Davin Miller, who started as the new CEO today.
Mr Babkov played a pivotal role in founding and growing REX into one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading real estate software companies.
He said he was proud of all Rex had achieved so far and confident it would continue to do great things for the real estate industry.
“I’m immensely grateful to our customers, some of whom have been loyally with us through the many highs and lows of the last 12 years,” Mr Babkov said.
“Their support has helped bring Rex to its current state as the leading CRM company in the ANZ market and a serious challenger in the UK.
“In the past 12 months we’ve built major momentum innovating in AI, automation, digital ads and bringing new products to market.
“That momentum is underpinned by what is by far the strongest team we’ve assembled to date.
“I’m confident that Rex will continue to grow stronger, and with Davin at the helm, Rex is poised to deliver incredible things to the agents we’ve been proudly serving for so many years.”
Rex Software Board of Directors Chairman Cheyne Tan extended the board’s gratitude for Mr Babkov’s leadership and said the members looked forward to continuing to work with him as an active board member.
“Anton’s vision has established Rex Software as a market leader in the real estate software sector,” Mr Tan, who is also a partner at Potentia Capital, said.
“As Anton transitions to a role on the board, I want to thank him for his outstanding leadership and drive in building Rex Software into a global PropTech leader.
Mr Tan said the board was confident Mr Miller would guide Rex through its next phase of growth and innovation.
“We look forward to working with Davin, who’s experience and customer focus will no doubt accelerate Rex Software’s growth.”
Mr Miller brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously been a regional CEO at Xplor Technologies for 12 years.
“I am honoured and excited to join Rex as its new CEO,” he said.
“I am committed to building upon the strong foundation laid by Anton and working collaboratively with the talented Rex team to drive continued success.”
The transition is expected to be seamless, with Mr Babkov and Mr Miller working closely together to ensure a smooth handover.
