About the role
The Delivery Manager at Rex is responsible for overseeing the successful and efficient delivery of projects within the engineering team. This role is crucial for ensuring that the projects are completed on time and within the scope of the project.
The Rex product teams are made up of a diverse range of people with different backgrounds and experiences in product delivery. Plus, each product has its own challenges whilst living at different steps in the product journey. The role of the delivery manager is to adopt shared & best practices as consistently as possible across the teams.. This allows each team member to be able to prioritise and focus on the most important work for their customers, whilst contributing to the OKRs.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, Technical Lead, Designers, and Engineers to align team objectives with business and product goals.
• Manage and coach engineers, fostering accountability and ownership of work.
• Lead initiatives to streamline the delivery process, promoting the Rex "way of working" for consistent and transparent performance metrics.
• Work with the Product Manager to prioritise tasks based on customer value and alignment with the product roadmap.
• Facilitate regular backlog refinement and planning sessions.
• Facilitate frequent releases of customer value, employing spikes as needed to mitigate development risks.
• Remain adaptable and open to changes in planned work if high-value tasks are escalated by the Product Manager.
• Provide monthly engineering updates to the board, along with regular reports to the Head of Engineering and Leadership on team performance and product delivery.Work with the Head of Engineering to enhance career development frameworks for engineering roles.
