We are incredibly excited to announce that the much-anticipated Rex Calendar is now available to all users. After a highly successful beta test with a closed group of agents, we can now confidently say this is the only calendar you should be using to run your business.

A Calendar purpose-built for real estate
Our team of product designers spent a year or so discovering your pain points with the old Rex Calendar, before working backwards to build a solution. Through hundreds of hours of user research, we’ve done a deep dive into your processes – investigating how solo agents, boutique agencies, EBUs, franchises and everything in between use their calendars. We’re rather proud of what we’ve produced.
It’s difficult to explain the sheer size of the new Rex Calendar. It’s a product within a product, really; a fully-fledged calendaring system, very similar to Google Calendar, within your Rex CRM. It comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect. And yet, it’s so much more than that.
The new Rex Calendar has been built with real estate in mind, to streamline your office processes, minimise missed appointments and save you time.
The obvious and not-so-obvious benefits
Your time is your most valuable resource. Using the new Rex Calendar to its full potential will help you to:
- Reduce no-shows for buyer appointments
No-shows have got to be one of the biggest time sucks of them all. Not anymore! The new Rex Calendar sends automated confirmations and alerts, helping to remind buyers that you’ve set aside time in your day to show them round. Having these messages sent automatically also saves your admin from a whole lot of data entry.
- Streamline your customer service
Those automated confirmation and reminder alerts are also an important touchpoint, helping you to deliver exceptional (and consistent) customer service. The new Calendar comes with a default confirmation template, but we highly recommend taking advantage of the customisation opportunities and create your own on-brand confirmation templates for different types of appointments.
- Make appointments more visible
The appointments in your Rex Calendar will automatically be filed in the Appointments tab of the related contact or listing record, making that record your a single point of truth for all upcoming events.
- Easily avoid double-bookings
During the research phase, we identified one of the biggest time wasters is scheduling an internal agency meeting. Now, you’ll never need to search for a matching free spot in everyone’s calendar ever again. The Rex Calendar comes with find a time functionality that lets you see your colleagues’ availability.
- Stay organised
With two-way sync, you’ll never overlook another appointment again. You’ve now got one place to look and see everything you have coming up – in all parts of life. Tier 2 users can sync their Rex Calendar with an external provider, such as Google or Outlook, so their appointments are visible (and consistent) across all calendars. For Tier 1 users, we still support iCal links.
- Create better reports (coming soon)
In the not-too-distant future, we’ll be giving you the ability to more easily report on your agency's appointments. Reporting functionality will be able to surface things like the number of appraisals or inspections per agent, helping to manage individual agent performance.
Making it work for you
The beauty of the Rex Calendar is that you can really make it your own. Jump into your Calendar settings to set working hours and default view modes – daily, weekly, monthly, or a mix.
Then, configure your standard appointment types. Add a default duration for your daily morning meeting, for example, change the colour of appointment blocks, write your own confirmation messages and more.
You should also take a look at the permission settings that apply to this feature, which restrict who can see and schedule appointments into your Calendar.
Apart from that, you don’t have to do anything – all pre-existing appointment reminders will be automatically converted into a Calendar appointment record.
